Project Update:
Zambia 2025
Seventeen volunteers. One week. A well, a church, and 180 children who will never be the same.
After a long journey with 17 dedicated volunteers, our team arrived in Livingstone, Zambia, filled with hope and expectation. As we stepped off the plane, we were met with a downpour — forecasted to continue all week. We gathered together and asked God to hold the rain during the days we would be serving. In what we can only describe as our first miracle of the trip, the rain ceased on every day we worked. God made a way where there seemed to be none.
Our 23rd well
A brand-new water well placed at the intersection of three villages — so women and children no longer walk long distances, 6–8 times a day, for water.
A new church
A much-needed church building was constructed during the visit. Many in the congregation had never imagined worshiping in such a space.
180 children at VBS
Our Vacation Bible School served over 180 children daily — lessons from the Dress a Child coloring book, plus a nutritious lunch for every child.
Throughout our time in Zambia, we encountered firsthand the harsh realities of life in under-resourced communities — especially the daily struggle for clean water. The new well has already begun transforming lives: villagers can now draw water safely and with dignity, for drinking, cooking, watering animals, and farming.
On the final day, each child received new toys, clothing, and shoes — a beautiful demonstration of God's love through practical gifts. The joy on their faces was unforgettable, a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness leave a lasting impact.
This mission was a testament to what God can do through willing hearts and generous hands. Lives were changed, hope was restored, and the love of Christ was made tangible in word and deed. But the work is far from over.
